NHL Games – Tuesday, April 19
Maple Leafs vs Flyers
The Maple Leafs are 8-1-1 in their past 10 games and on a collision course to face the back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in Tampa Bay in the first round of the playoffs. Auston Matthews missed Toronto’s 4-2 win over the Islanders on Sunday with a minor undisclosed injury, but the NHL’s leading goal scorer should be back in the lineup versus Philadelphia. The Flyers have only managed two victories in their past 10 and should be easy pickings for the high-flying Buds.
Final score prediction: Maple Leafs 5, Flyers 2

Blues vs Bruins
St. Louis has won nine straight contests, including a 4-2 triumph over Boston last Tuesday night. Likely to still be without leading goal scorer David Pastrnak and deadline acquisition Hampus Lindholm, the Bruins will be hard pressed to knock off a red-hot Blues squad. Expect a low-scoring slugfest from two teams that still have a lot of bad blood from their 2019 Cup Final.
Final score prediction: Blues 3, Bruins 2
Lightning vs Red Wings
Winners of three in a row at home, Tampa Bay hosts a Red Wings squad that was blown out at home by the Panthers on Easter Sunday. Just 3-5-2 in their past 10, Detroit could catch the Lightning looking ahead to their Thursday matchup with the Maple Leafs. Or they just might get their doors blown off by a Florida-based team for the second time in three nights.
Final score prediction: Lightning 4, Red Wings 1

Predators vs Flames
Nashville has been running cold of late, losing its last four contests against playoff-bound clubs (Blues, Oilers, Penguins, Panthers). And with just six games left in their season, the Predators find themselves four points up on Vegas for the final Wild-Card spot in the West. Meanwhile, Calgary is holding down the top-spot in the Pacific and has very little to play for down stretch. Playing on back-to-back nights on the road (in a party town no less), the Flames may save their fire for the cowboy bars on the Broadway Strip.
Final score prediction: Predators 5, Flames 3
Ducks vs Kings
Despite losing star blueliner Drew Doughty for the season, the Kings are in the last postseason spot in the Pacific with a three-point lead on Vegas with one less game to play. Luckily, their last five games are against teams who will not be playing playoff hockey, starting with the Anaheim Ducks. With everything on the line, Los Angeles should dispatch of their California rivals on Tuesday night.
Final score prediction: Kings 3, Ducks 2 OT
