NHL Games – Tuesday, April 26
Stars vs Golden Knights
Vegas let two points slip through its fingers on Sunday night, losing in a shootout to San Jose after the Sharks tied it up with less than a second left on the clock. That left the Golden Knights three points back of Dallas for the final western Wild-Card spot with just three games to play. The good news is Peter DeBoer’s club owns the tiebreak with 33 regulation wins compared to the Stars’ 30. Dallas dropped all three games on its recent road trip through Western Canada and looks ready to fold their tents.
Final score prediction: Vegas 5, Dallas 3

Predators vs Flames
In a potential first-round playoff preview, Nashville looks to cement its spot in the postseason versus the red-hot Flames (8-1-1 in its last 10 games). Calgary doesn’t have much to play for, but Darryl Sutter might want his club to send a message after losing to the Predators 3-2 in a shootout just last week. Expect Hart Trophy candidate Johnny Gaudreau to light the lamp a couple times on the road.
Final score prediction: Flames 3, Predators 2 OT
Rangers vs Hurricanes
There’s also a barn-burner in the East on Tuesday night as the Hurricanes seek to clinch the Metropolitan crown with their fifth-straight win. New York sits four points back of Carolina with one game-in-hand, however, the Canes do own the tiebreaker. While the Rangers will start Vezina-lock Igor Shesterkin, Rod Brind’Amour will be forced to play third-string netminder Pyotr Kochetkov after recent injuries to both Frederik Andersen and backup Antti Raanta. The division title isn’t settled yet! Rangers win easy.
Final score prediction: Rangers 4, Hurricanes 2

The Hurricanes lost another goalie, this time Antti Raanta, to injury, but Max Domi’s third period goal helped Pyotr Kochetkov win his second NHL game in as many days.https://t.co/XguBcQWRNg

Bruins vs Panthers
The Bruins probably have the first Wild-Card spot in the East and a matchup with the Canes all sewn up, but they must tread carefully over their final three games. If the Capitals were to make up the three points, Boston would be forced to face Florida in the first round. While they had their 13-game winning streak halted on Sunday with a 8-4 loss to the Lightning, the President Trophy-winning Panthers are the class of the NHL with a 57-16-6 record.
Final score prediction: Panthers 5, Bruins 3
