How Does FanDuel Dinger Tuesday Work?
To get started head to FanDuel Sportsbook and create an account if you’re not already signed up. If you already have an account don’t worry, this isn’t just a promo for new customers; it’s open to all FanDuel Sportsbook users each Tuesday during the MLB season.
Once you’re signed up, opt-in to the Dinger Tuesday promo via FanDuel Sportsbook’s “Promos” page. (Second from the top in the left-hand menu.) Then wager at least $25 on any player to hit a home run on Tuesday, May 17.
For every home run in that game, regardless of which team slugs it, you’ll receive $5 in free bets from FanDuel Sportsbook. If the player you bet on hits a homer as well, you will also win your qualifying wager.
It’s baseball season.
You know what that means…

So, if there are five home runs in the game you will come out roughly even regardless of whether the player you picked hits a home run or not.
However, five homers in a game is extremely rare so in order to make this a long term winning wager, you’re going to need to target only the most favorable matchups.
Home Run Best Bet for May 17
With that in mind, look no further than the Giants vs Rockies matchup as the game to target. It currently features an over/under of 11.5, three runs higher than the next highest total on the slate.
The thin mountain air at Coors Field creates ideal hitting conditions and Colorado first baseman C.J. Cron is definitely a slugger you want on your betting radar.
466 FT MOONSHOT FROM C.J. CRON 💥
— FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) April 17, 2022
Cron leads the Rockies with nine home runs this season, seven of which have been hit at home. He’s slugging .730 at Coors Field this season with a 1.157 OPS, compared to just a .404 slugging percentage and .654 OPS on the road.
Also working in his favor, is an excellent track record versus San Fran starter Alex Cobb. Cron has five career hits against Cobb in 18 at-bats, three of which have left the yard.
Cobb meanwhile, has made one career start in Colorado and it did not go swimmingly. He coughed up three home runs and eight hits over 6.2 innings of work.
Pick: C.J. Cron (+310)
